SUPPORT CENTER

  • What classes should I try?
It is a good idea to try different classes to get an idea of the style of yoga and teachers you like. We have class descriptions on our website to help you get a feel for the different classes we offer. Each teacher teaches differently so it’s always good to try out different instructors to find the best fit for you.
  • What are the benefits of yoga?
Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility. Yoga helps with back pain relief and even arthritis symptoms. Yoga relaxes you and helps you sleep better. Yoga can mean more energy and brighter moods. Yoga helps you manage stress. Yoga connects you with a supportive community. Yoga promotes better self-care.
  • What should I wear and bring to class?
You will want to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move, usually yoga pants and tank tops work well. Yoga is done barefoot so as not to slip on the mat. Please leave your shoes in the lobby so we can keep our floors clean. You may bring water bottles into the studio but all other items should be left in the lobby. Phones are not allowed in the studio. We are there to unplug so it is very distracting to the students as well as the instructor. Also please bring your own mat. We do rent them out for $2 per use but most people usually prefer to have their own.
  • Do I have to be flexible and strong to do yoga?
No, yoga is for EVERY BODY. Most people are not inherently flexible, that’s why they come to yoga. Flexibility comes with time and practice. Strength also comes with patience and practice. There is no criteria for taking a yoga class other than the desire.
  • How old do I have to be to attend a class?
    Our minimum age is 13.
  • Can I arrive late or leave early?
We do not always have a receptionist out in the lobby so a lot of times the instructors will lock the front doors when class starts (for everyone’s safety of personal items). We cannot hold up a class waiting for someone to arrive so classes will start at the scheduled time. It is respectful to everyone in the class to stay for the entire class. The instructor will close the class and then it would be appropriate to leave. And the end is the relaxation part of the class so that’s the best part!
